Chairman Emiritus
Ramil "Mel" Cabodil
Mel established the Business Continuity Manager’s Association of the Philippines (BCMAP). He was the founding President of this association in 2006, which was formalized as a non-profit NGO of the SEC in 2011. BCMAP started as the official forum organizer of the Business Continuity Institute and now represents Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) in the Philippines.

His extensive experience on disaster recovery enabled him to be the first Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) of Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) in the Philippines. He got his certification from DRII in 2004. He continues to maintain this certification today and currently the Executive Director of DRI Philippines.

Mel is also the Country Practice Leader of Technology Lifecycle Services of IBM Philippines. He is responsible for optimizing, deploying, and supporting the critical systems of IBM client’s IT infrastructure installed at various enterprises in the country.

Keith Chan
Keith has over 25 years of experience in the field of Information Technology management in manufacturing, wholesale and retail trading, real estate, airline, hospitality services and banking; and 12 years serving as IT Group Head and the technology disaster recovery in-charge for a bank. He pioneered Cloud service models transformation (SaaS and IaaS) in Philippine banking technology that gained international recognitions for top innovative banking technology implementations from Singapore based institutions. He has participated as a member of the Banking Sector Technical Working Group during a Philippine Multi-Sectoral Pandemic Preparedness Project supported by the International Medical Corps and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in 2012. He is a certified Associate Business Continuity Professional from the Disaster Recovery Institute, International.
He is currently the Vice President for Information Technology of Wilcon Depot, Inc.
Keith was just awarded the 2022 Top 100 CIO for Asia, Hongkong and Wider Region by IDG CIO100 at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

Eugene "Yooge" Daga
Yooge has been in the Business Continuity practice for over 15 years. He obtained his CBCP accreditation from the Disaster Recovery International Institute in 2012 with his first national exposure as a part of the technical writing group for the country’s wide-area and pandemic plan in cooperation with USAID and other government agencies. Apart from his CBCP certification, he is also a certified trainer for the DRII certification course as well as a resource speaker at various engagements including the Ateneo Graduate School of Business CCE.

Along with his extensive experience and knowledge in business continuity management, he has had leadership roles in risk management, process re-engineering, project management, corporate governance, OSH and data privacy. Yooge has facilitated ISO certification ad management specifically ISO22301 and ISO27001 as part of his role. He has been affiliated with various organizations in various industries such as banking, financial services, insurance, shared services and healthcare.

He is currently the Director for Business Continuity for the Tenet Global Business Center – handling both the local BCP planning and US or onshore entities preparedness as well. For 2023, Yooge shall be launching his own private consultancy practices with the aim of assuring that businesses can easily adopt their strategies to address emerging and known risks, assuring that any impact to their operations are within acceptable levels. He is also looking for other business opportunities circling back to his ‘entrepreneurial’ roots.
A proud parent of 2 boys, Yooge is an avid golfer taking pleasure in the solemnity and mental fortitude required of the sport. He is currently taking a dip into biking as his kids have started to take interest in this hobby as well.

Joselito Martin "Topets" Capinpin
Topets Capinpin is a Project Management Professional (PMP since 2003) with extensive background in IT service operations and support administration, large customer account management, IT deployment and maintenance projects and IT infrastructure outsourcing and support services. He has 33 years experience in the IT industry, of which 28 years was in IBM Philippines and in various Services management and delivery roles. Currently he is now with Octal Philippines as its Services Director and a consultant for hire. He is also currently serving as the Secretary and Board Director of BCMAP - Business Continuity Managers Association of the Phils. and an accredited instructor for DRII/BCMAP and the Ateneo Graduate School of Business – Center for Continuing Education (AGSB-CCE). On projects, he has handled projects involving data center construction and relocation, structured cabling services, network systems deployment and integration, hardware and software systems and facilities maintenance, systems management implementations, storage systems installations and migrations, and high availability solution implementations, including business recovery services.

He is also the Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 7592, Santisimo Rosario Parish (UST), Head Lay Coordinator for the said Parish Pastoral Council.

Eloisa Estela is a Business Continuity Professional who is working for a Global company with 31 sites across Europe, Middle East, Africa& APAC. She has 7 years experience as a Safety Professional working for an Airline.

Eloisa currently leads the Global Business Continuity Management Program for Robert Walters Group, a world-leading specialist professional recruitment consultancy and a leading global provider of outsourced recruitment and consultancy solutions. She leads initiatives to safeguard the company’s global critical assets – people, sites, products, operations, and reputation.
She started her career in Business Continuity as an Analyst for a global business services company providing multichannel customer engagement lead generation, end-to-end integrated marketing, print and fulfilment solutions. The passion for emergency management started when she worked for Philippine Airlines as a Flight Attendant for 7 years. Eloisa obtained her ABCP accreditation from the Disaster Recovery International Institute in 2017.

Alvin Manuel
Alvin is a Senior Director in the Consulting Services of SGV/EY Philippines. He has helped companies deal with resilience, cybersecurity and risk management issues from strategic organization-wide diagnostics & design projects to program execution, certification assistance and compliance work. With his over eleven years experience with SGV/EY, he has helped jumpstart and mature the business continuity, cybersecurity and privacy management programs of clients in the telecommunications, financial services, BPO, government & public sector.

Alvin is concurrently the Resilience and Cyber Competency Lead. He enables the practice in methodology adoption & development, professional learning, certification & development, and performance management of the firm’s over 240 resilience and cyber professionals. He has crafted and conducted courses on business continuity management, chaos & reliability engineering, third party risk management, cloud security & resilience, information security management, data privacy management, among others.

Alvin has contributed to SGV’s thought leadership initiatives through staff learning & development programs, speaking and training engagements in client, industry & academic events, and business continuity & security articles in the Suits the C-Suite column in BusinessWorld.

Sebastian "Baste" Puache
Baste joined BCMAP last 2017 and was conferred the Certified Business Continuity Professional title that year by DRI International. He became a Certified Instructor for Business Continuity the following year.

He conducts Business Continuity certification classes for DRII and a Resource Speaker/Lecturer of the Ateneo Graduate School of Business – Center for Continuous Education. He is also a Board Member of the Philippine Society for Industrial Security where he also teaches and develops courses.

He is also a Certified Protection Professional (ASIS International), Certified Security Professional and Master in Security Management (PSIS International), and a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. Baste also finished various courses in Incident Command, Camp Management (IOM), Fire Search and Rescue, Emergency Medical Technician Course (AREMT), Data Protection (TÜV Rheinland), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (SGS Academy), Occupational Safety and Health and others.
He has a Masters in Public Administration and now taking his doctorate at the University of the Philippines NCPAG.

Sora Sanchez
Sora is currently a Senior Manager of Resiliency at UnionBank of the Philippines and have been with the company since 2016 managing the effective implementation of the BCMS framework to ensure the safety of employees and stakeholders, guarantee that the bank assets are protected, and that vulnerability toward business disruptions are minimized. She was an experienced IT risk management officer that specialized in project quality assurance in her previous role in UnionBank.
She is a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) and a certified Lead Auditor for ISO 22301 Security and resilience — Business continuity management systems. She spearheaded the bank’s ISO 22301 certification as of November 2021.

She was a Team Leader with Financial Times where she managed a diverse team that were responsible for customer engagement, retention, and acquisition between 2009 and 2016.

Jay Yabes
Jay is an Associate Director / Manager in the Consulting Cybersecurity and Resilience practice of SGV. He has led key business continuity engagements of the Firm and has handled industries covering telecommunications, financial service organizations, contact centers and shared services, health, investments, power & utilities and construction.
He specializes in the areas of Business Continuity (BC) and IT Disaster Recovery (IT DR) framework development and implementation including program management, exercising and review, Service Recovery and Resiliency, Supply Chain Continuity Management (SCCM), Operational Resilience, Contact Center Recovery including Shared Services and Enterprise Resilience.
He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) and has a Certificate of the BCI (CBCI) with Merit upgraded into a Member of the BCI (MBCI). He is also a member of the board of directors of the Business Continuity Managers Association of the Philippines (BCMAP).
In 2019, he became the youngest Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) in the Philippines at the age of 23.

Laurice "Ace" Acoba
Laurice acts as a support role to the Data Privacy Officer to ensure compliance to the Data Privacy Act of the Philippines. She reports key metrics to measure effectivity of Data Protection activities.

Director for Diversity and Inclusion
Joanna Rose T. Laddaran
Joanna serves as University Extension Specialist at the University of the Philippines Institute for Small-Scale Industries (UP ISSI). She has been advocating for promoting the culture of preparedness among the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector since 2014. She has facilitated Business Continuity Planning (BCP) capacity-building training programs, workshops and awareness sessions for over 2,500 individuals from MSMEs; cooperatives; agribusinesses; and local government units, among others through the UP ISSI HANDA Program: Disaster Preparedness and BCP for MSMEs.
She is a recipient of the UP Diliman 2021 Gawad Tsanselor sa Natatanging REPS (Research, Extension, and Professional Staff) - Extension Cluster. She was also named as the “Continuity & Resilience Professional in the Public Sector” in the BCI Asia Pacific (APAC) Awards in 2020 and 2021.
Trained by the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in Promoting SME Business Continuity Plans, and the Business As Usual’s Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Course, she passed the ISO 22301 Foundation Certification of the Professional Evaluation and Certification Board in 2017. Her publication works include the Smart Business Guide on How to Prepare a Business Continuity Plan (2018), and the HANDA Manual: Business Continuity Planning for MSMEs (2019).
